LV TRAINER Sneaker

This LV Trainer sneaker from the LV Trainer Art Collaboration Series features Chinese artist Zhou Yilun’s colorful brushstrokes on smooth calf leather, and is finished with tie-dyed laces, rubber logos and LV laces. Zhou’s creative practice revolves around the reinvention of everyday objects, attempting to re-examine the production forms that are shrouded in so-called modernity through the negation, subversion and reorganization of the relationship between form and content. Zhou named this LV Trainer sneaker -8.6°C to draw more public attention to climate issues. The shoe is created through silk-screen printing technology to create the base, hand-painted top details, and carefully selected craftsmen to render the body of the shoe, and the artist’s avant-garde design is delicately presented. The exquisite craftsmanship and the different ways of dripping paint give each finished product a unique artistic charm.
